Sharp Co. Spots Its 30-Year-Old PC in your name. Film, Makoto Shinkai Confirms

Sharp Co.'s official Twitter account posted that one of its older PC models seems to have appeared in Makoto Shinkai's new film, your name. (Kimi no Na wa.), and Shinkai took to Twitter himself to confirm their suspicions. The model in question is from Sharp Co.'s x68000 series, which was released on March 28, 1987.

Makoto Shinkai's anime film Kimi no Na wa. (your name.) opened in Japan on Friday, August 26. It earned 1,277,960,000 yen (about US$12.51 million) in the first three days, topping the box office for Saturday and Sunday.
The film had its world premiere on July 3 at AnimeExpo and will be distributed in 85 countries and regions. It follows two high-schoolers, a girl living in the countryside and a boy living in Tokyo, who have mysterious dreams about living each other's lives.
