90% of Crunchyroll Users Identify as Gamers
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Do you stream anime on Crunchyroll? If so, do you regularly play video games? If you answered "yes" to the second question, you are among the vast majority of the site's users.
Crunchyroll recently conducted a user survey to see how many of its anime-fan members are also gamers. More than 10,000 users responded in one week about which consoles they own, their favorite genres, and their spending and playing habits. Among Crunchyroll members who responded to the survey, 90% self-identified as gamers. Crunchyroll revealed some of the other striking results of the survey in the infographic above.
Crunchyroll debuted as a media distribution service in 2006, and it currently has 12 million monthly active users. The service surpassed 1 million paid subscribers in February and announced its own Crunchyroll Expo (CRX) convention, which was held in Santa Clara, California from August 25-27.
How do you compare to Crunchyroll's gamers? Do the survey results surprise you at all? Tell us in the forum!
