posted on by Karen Ressler
Street Fighter executive producer Yoshinori Ono announced over Twitter on Monday that he resigned from his position as director at CAPCOM Vancouver.
CAPCOM Vancouver released Dead Rising 3 for Xbox One and Windows in November, as well as the earlier installments of the franchise. In his message, Ono thanked the staff of CAPCOM Vancouver and Dead Rising, and stated that he'd like to take time to think carefully about what's next. He also stated that he'd like to watch the Brazil World Cup first.
Ono produced Street Fighter IV and is credited with more than 23 other video game titles.
Update: Ono later clarified that his position within CAPCOM has not changed, and he is still involved in all his current projects.
My position within Capcom has not changed and I'm still involved in all of the projects that I'm currently working on.
