Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Reveals 2016's Series Ranking for Male Readers

The 2016 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook announced its lists of the top manga series on Thursday. The top 20 on its list of manga for male readers are:
- Dungeon Meshi (pictured top left in image at right) by Ryōko Kui
- Golden Kamui by Satoru Noda
- Kuro Hakubutsukan: Ghost and Lady by Kazuhiro Fujita
- Koi wa Ameagari no Yō ni by Jun Mayuzuki
- My Hero Academia by Kōhei Horikoshi
- Nami yo Kiite Kure by Hiroaki Samura
- Hataraku Saibō by Akane Shimizu
- Okazaki ni Sasagu by Saho Yamamoto
- Dagashi Kashi by Kotoyama
- Boku dake ga Inai Machi by Kei Sanbe
- Otōto no Otto by Gengoroh Tagame
- Hibiki: Shōsetsuka ni Naru Hōhō by Mitsuharu Yanamoto
- Land by Kazumi Yamashita
- Angolmois: Genkō Kassen-ki by Nanahiko Tagaki
- BLUE GIANT by Shinichi Ishizuka
- The Ancient Magus' Bride by Kore Yamazaki
- Tokusatsu Gagaga by Niwa Tanba
- Dead Dead Demon's Dededededestruction by Inio Asano
- Plinius by Mari Yamazaki and Miki Tori (tied for 18th)
- Hakubo no Chronicle by Masami Yuuki
The lists are the result of surveys conducted among more than 400 professionals in the fields of manga and publishing.
Dungeon Meshi ranked at #13 on Da Vinci magazine's comic rankings as part of its 16th annual "Book of the Year" list. Golden Kamui ranked at #28, and Kuro Hakubutsukan: Ghost and Lady ranked at #22.
In 2015, Yoshitoki Ōima's A Silent Voice manga topped the Male Readers list, and Tomomi Abe's Chi-chan wa Chotto Tarinai (Chi-chan Isn't Quite Good Enough) topped the Female Readers list. In 2014, Yūsei Matsui's Assassination Classroom manga topped the Male Readers list, and Hozumi's Sayonara Sorcier topped the Female Readers list.
