Koei Tecmo began streaming the first promotional video for its Sengoku Musou ~Sanada Maru~ (Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru) game on Thursday, revealing that the game will ship on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan on November 23.
The game will be available for retail and download for 7,800 yen (about US$77) plus tax for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions and 6,800 yen (about US$67) for the PlayStation Vita version. A "Treasure Box" edition — which also includes an artbook, soundtrack CD, and a six-piece acrylic coaster set with a special case — will retail for 12,800 yen (about US$126) for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions and 11,800 yen (about US$117) for the PlayStation Vita version. First print editions will come with a download code for Sanada Yukimura's red armor from the Sanada Maru NHK drama series.
Confirmed characters in the game include Sanada Yukimura as a child (voiced by Yuka Saitou) and as an adult (voiced by Takeshi Kusao), Yukimura's father Sanada Masayuki (voiced by Kenta Miyake), and Chacha (voiced by Marika Kōno). The game will cover the 48 years of Yukimura's life.
CAPCOM's Sengoku Basara franchise is also developing a game based on Sanada Yukimura's life, titled Sengoku Basara: Sanada Yukimura-Den (Sengoku Basara: The Legend of Sanada Yukimura). The "first longform drama" game in the Sengoku Basara game franchise will chronicle the life of Sanada Yukimura, and will also tell the "hidden destiny" of Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune at the summer encampment of Osaka. The game is slated to ship in Japan on August 25 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
