posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
This year's 43rd issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine published the last chapter of Tamiki Wakaki's King of Idol manga on Wednesday. Shogakukan's Web Sunday website is listing the manga's sixth volume as its last, and it will ship on October 18.
The manga centers on "Mahoro Harukana," a child of a legendary idol, who intends to follow in her mother's footsteps by attending prestigious idol school NEMS. The only problem is that Mahoro is a boy who has disguised himself as a girl to attend the school.
Wakaki launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2017, and Shogakukan published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on August 17.
Shogakukan published 26 compiled volumes for The World God Only Knows romantic comedy series between 2008 to 2014. The manga inspired three anime series and several sequel and spin-off OVAs.
